Learn from the Start-Up Nation
is truly the essence of Israel. The country is currently ranked the 5th largest
start-up hub in the world - and has the highest density of technological
start-ups globally. This is an extraordinary achievement for a country one
third the size of Tasmania and with a population of just 8.2 million. The
country houses over 3000 tech-related start-ups, predominately centred in and
around Tel Aviv. Over 260 high profile multinational companies have established
research and development centres in Israel, such as Apple, Google and IBM and
as a result of this, about 39% of Israeli hi-tech industry employees are
employed in these global companies' R&D centers.
1989, the Australia-Israel Chamber of Commerce has facilitated multiple trade
delegations to and from Israel to help encourage trade and investment, and
foster closer business relationships between Australia and Israel. Our trade
missions are transformative in every way - both from a professional and
business perspective, and a personal one too.
trade missions play a crucial role in raising the awareness of the vast trade
opportunities that exist between the two countries. The increase in the
frequency, seniority and size of these delegations in recent years is testament
to the growing recognition by Australian business of the importance of such
missions and of the opportunities that exist between the two countries.
Over 7-10 days, Australian leaders are exposed to Israel’s innovative ecosystem,
seeing the vibrant, can-do culture of it's people, it's breathtaking scenery
and it's world renowned business acumen. Our trade missions deliver a range of
outcomes for delegates including:
Possible joint ventures opportunities
Technology transfer agreements
Partnership arrangements in third markets
Cooperation agreements between Australian and
Israeli business associations and an increase in trade.
